Actually Managing Your Team...Works?!
No shade to my previous manager, but his temporary replacement has done a better job of keeping us pallet free all week. Unfortunately, I don't think she'll be here long, so it's only a matter of time before we fall back into our old ways. Again, I doubt it'll be too bad after the holiday rush. I'm more worried about the fast approaching inventory...I am trying to leave before I get caught up in that shit again.
But yeah...I like our current speed and setup. It's nice walking into an empty stock room, although I do have to flounder a bit to find work to keep myself busy. There's less shit to worry about clearing out or making room for.
God...I hope they don't rope us into helping stock the floor, cause I don't know where anything is in that damn store. But that's a problem for future me. I took two days off near the end of the month and only work 3 days (rather than my standard 4) that first week of the new year. That's less money in my pockets, but I actually don't mind having an extra day off. It'll give me more time to write and plot my eventual escape from this shithole of a country.
