Ain't A Damn Thing Changed

Welp. I kept my expectations low, and somehow I still managed to be (somewhat) disappointed.

In short, the pallet parties barely moved the needle. From my perspective, they cleared out 5-10 pallets. But according to one of guys who attended, they mostly did clean up. Whatever that means…

From the count we did this morning, we still had forty three pallets to clear.

I'll say it again:

Forty. Three. Pallets.

We cleared three today, and got five new pallets from the truck today. Sheer chaos.

On the bright side, we made room for future pallets, by relocating our work station. But if we're only clearing a few pallets a day while we gain almost twice as many a day, it won't make a fucking difference.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Another plus is that three of my coworkers are fed up with the guy who's always screwing around on his phone. He mostly does shoes, but is so slow about it. Me and a new guy have been asked to pick up the slack because no one trusts him to do his job, lmao.

I'm curious to see how we all fare with the new arrangements. I'll have a little less space, but if it means getting shit done and my coworkers behaving themselves (thanks to close proximity to management), I'll gladly put up with it.

Not that I plan on being here by the end of the year…
