Happy Birthday To Me!
I'm gonna focus on the positives here, since my country has enough shit going on and I need a break.
It's my birthday, putting me in a new bracket for most surveys (woohoo!), and I got the day off from work (paid!). While I still need to catch up on a few things, such as homework, I plan to spend the day relaxing and maybe binging a movie or series.
I had originally planned to load up an SD card with my vast music collection, but have been delayed. I pre-ordered this cool new device that's reminiscent of the iPod, the Tangara, and received it last month. I'm itching to break it in, but can't do so without my music! With it, I'll be able to slowly ditch Spotify for good.
Back in December, I wrote a post about the tracks I bought from Bandcamp in 2024. You can read it on my main blog. That's only a small piece of my wider collection, which I plan to expand in the future. I want to support artists directly, because Spotify doesn't pay artists what they're worth. Unfortunately, not all artists have their backlog available on Bandcamp, so I need to find alternatives. I hear Qobuzz is good and pays better, but haven't tried them yet.
But yeah, that's basically how my day is going—oh, and I have some cool news about my Last Train Home series. The map I ordered is almost done! I saw the draft today and holy smokes is it good! I won't share it here, but on my main blog and maybe my author profile on omg.
Anyway, back to enjoying my time off!
