"No One's Gonna Be Back Here"
That's the phrase I was met with this morning, after a coworker told me he was sticking with the old schedule. And, presumably, working with the markdown team. And here I was, happy that I'd be getting more sleep and time to myself in the mornings! I thought one or two of my coworkers would switch over, but didn't anticipate all of them to snub the new schedule!
I guess, like our store manager, I overestimated. Although, this does explain why my hours switched to 11-6 after next week's change...can't say I'm upset about that. Working til 8 is a pain, but 6 is more than doable. I'd be able to eat dinner with my partner (every now and then).
These next few weeks are gonna be interesting, as I have no idea what to expect now. The one reassurance is that my coworkers will be available when not doing markdowns, but it's still a major pain in the ass.
